IT WAS THE North Yorkshire indoor championships held at Sheffield and Emily Harris was 4th in her heat in the U17 ladies 60m with a seasons best (8.8) and was 5th in her heat in the 200m (29:3). Eliza Withers was also 4th in the 60m hurdles in new pb (10:0, pb). Dan Upton took the senior mens title in the shot put with a new lifetime best throw (13:03, pb) and then had a great run in the 60m hurdles to take 2nd in another new pb (12:2, pb).

The annual poultry run was held at Loftus for those in a rush to get an early Christmas dinner, Marc Scott fresh back from his team silver medal in the European cross country championships, took the race by the scruff and ran away with the biggest turkey, a goose and a hamper with the winning run (41:41), Rob Scott also took to the start line and had a very pleasing race in 8th (45:29) and Elly Robertson ran well in 247th (72:22).

Shannon Robinson ran the Temple Newsam Cross Country and finished a very good 33rd overall and the 9th lady (10:30). Diane Adkins ran the Tees trail series at Preston Park finishing a strong 98th (30:28). Ken Harker took the tape as the first finisher at Northallerton parkrun (20:09), followed by Josh Hammett in 2nd (20:18), Jim Wilkin in 9th and a massive new pb (23:24, pb), with dad Alastair trailing in his wake in 10th (23:46), Jason Hammett was 17th (25:47), Olivia Jackson-Bowers was 18th and the 1st lady (25:48), Elaine Watters was 27th and the 2nd lady (27:34), Angela Wilkin was 36th (29:24), Michelle Hammett was 42nd (30:52), Charlotte Jackson-Bowers in 45th in her first senior parkrun (32:11), Kiki Fletcher in 46th (32:13) and Shona Fletcher in 47th (32:14).

Ian Christon ran Canon Hill parkrun and was a very good 10th (18:21). Catterick parkrun had Leon Reeve in 4th (20:12), Holly McCowie in 9th overall and the 1st lady (22:08), Garry Malton was 30th (25:08) and Ian Hepworth was 35th (25:48). Mark Crawford took on Perth parkrun and was 5th (17:58). David Hack was 5th at Darlington parkrun (18:05). Deborah Jefferies took son Caleb round the course in his buggy at Albert parkrun and finished 199th (39:00).

At Northallerton junior parkrun, Sam Archer was the first finisher (8:32), Jim Wilkin was 2nd (09:25), Rebecca Wilkin was 4th and the 1st girl (09:45), Kiki Fletcher was 11th and the 5th girl (10:54) and Abi Wilkin was 23rd (14:42). Steve Middleton was notable in his absence from parkrun on Saturday and Ollie Middleton will now be in charge of his training going forward.
