Richmond & Zetland Harriers
It was a quieter week for the runners of Richmond and Zetland Harriers, with only a few races in the calendar and of course the indoor throws events building to the outdoor summer season. Dan Upton, is really pushing to his limits for the new season with another great result, in winning the Southern Counties Veteran AC championships shot putt with a seasons best (12:94m, sb). Nicki Buckett was out and about at the Muddy Boots 10km with another good run in 290th (62:24). In Boston, USA, Marc Scott continues his impressive form with a superb run to take him to the top of the UK rankings for 5000m indoors. Not only is this the UK best time for the season but it is the 3rd best time by a UK athlete ever (13:21:97, pb).
At Catterick parkrun George McCowie had a great run in 12th (21:17), Garry Malton was 32nd (23:31), Ian Hepworth was 61st (27:23) and Nicki Buckett in 75th (28:53). Deb Pennick ran with son Caleb in his buggy at Darlington parkrun and finished 281st (35:48). At Northallerton parkrun, Anthony Jefford was 3rd (21:02), Alastair Wilkin was in 12th (23:41), Shannon Robinson was the 1st lady in 16th (24:28), Kiki Fletcher in 54th (29:35, pb) and Shona Fletcher in 55th (29:36). At Northallerton junior parkrun Ollie Middleton was the 1st finisher (08:31), with Jim Wilkin just behind in 2nd (08:34) and Kiki Fletcher was 15th and the 5th girl (10:43, pb).
