Richmond and Zetland Harriers
It was one of those quieter weeks for the athletes of Richmond and Zetland Harriers, a time to recharge the batteries and work on some speed, however there were others who still went at it full tilt. Steve Sadler went on his travels to Haweswater for the half marathon to get in some race training ahead of the London marathon, all be it slightly different in respect of the steeper hills, the high winds and the scenery were more pleasant. Steve produced a very pleasing performance in 33rd and the 6th V50 (1:29:18).

Dalton park has a 10km run and some of our athletes had a trial run out, with Steve Middleton in 9th and the 1st V40 (36:35) and Ian Christon just behind in 14th (37:45). Ollie Middleton took on the shorter 5km route to finish in 37th overall and the 5th junior in a great time (27:08). At Catterick parkrun Carl Jones was the 1st finisher (16:27), David Hack in 2nd (17:44), Ronnie Corbett in 5th (19:33), Simon Withers in 17th (21:34), Garry Malton was 19th (21:39), Lucy Goundry in 28th and the 3rd lady (22:14), Holly McCowie in 32nd and the 5th lady (22:53), Ryan Greer in 50th (24:40), Thomas Greer in 69th (26:18), Ian Hepworth was 71st and it was his 100th parkrun (26:23), Heather Jones in another new pb in 74th (26:32), Eve Kerr in 78th (26:46) and Nicki Buckett in 82nd (27:02).

Tom O’Mahoney was 8th at Darlington parkrun (19:00) and Deb Jefferies in her final time in a R&Z vest before moving to her new club was 295th with Caleb in tow (35:01). At Northallerton parkrun, Rob Scott was the 1st finisher (18:43), Ian Christon was just behind in 3rd (19:17), Shannon Robinson in 6th, the 1st lady and new pb (22:10), Alastair Wilkin in 11th (22:51), Olivia Jackson-Bowers in 32nd (25:39), Elaine Watters was 36th (26:35), Kiki Fletcher in 56th (29:08 and Shona Fletcher in 57th (29:11). Jim Wilkin took the top honours at Northallerton parkrun as the 1st finisher (08:46), Rebecca Wilkin was next in 4th and the 1st girl (09:20), Charlotte Jackson-Bowers was 15th and the 4th girl (10:17), Kiki Fletcher in 19th (10:43) and Sofia Wardman in 27th(11:22).
