Richmond and Zetland Harriers
IT WAS ANOTHER week of outstanding performances by Richmond and Zetland's athletes. Steve Sadler was in action at the notorious Spen 20, which also doubles up as the Yorkshire 20 mile championships. Steve was in top form and finished as the top V55 in Yorkshire (2:27:50). Kyle Rabjohn was again on the cross country circuit and this time at the English schools championships and finished an impressive 40th in the U17 age group.

It was also the week for our ultra marathon runners, with Nikki Fullwood taking on the Endurance Sussex marathon finishing 13th overall and the 4th female (4:16:39). Rachel Ross Russell was also running an ultra, but closer to home at the Hardmoors 50, which is closer to 55 miles from Guisborough to Helmsley and produced excellent run to finish as the 3rd lady (10:55:32).

Rob Wilkins ran at the Fleet half marathon and had a great run (1:17:25). Steve Sadler also ran the Wrexham half marathon finishing in 18th and the 1st V55 (1:29:03).

The Lightwater Valley 10k was also the destination for some of our athletes, with Richmond's runners taking both the overall and the ladies win. Reece Dalton (34:00) took the victory, Donna Riddler wining the ladies race (42:11), Kimberley Reeve the 3rd lady (46:12) and Sarah Gregory the 10th lady (49:05). In the shorter 3k race Shannon Robinson was 3rd overall and the 1st girl, with brother Rhys also in the top 10.

The Thirsk 10 miler is also a very good race for our athletes and this year was no exception, with Rob Scott showing great form to take the win (53:58), Ian Christon was 35th (59:14, pb), Mark Forrest was 71st (1:02:24) and the 3rd V50, Lee Davies was 131st (1:06:27), Ronnie Corbett in 137th (1:06:36), Paul Simpson in 172nd (1:08:40, pb), Graham Ewart in 182nd (1:09:02, pb), Nicola Simpson in 305th (1:14:22, pb), Lucy Goundry was 359th (1:16:49, pb), Pete Richardson in 489th (1:21:39), Pauline Whittaker in 489th (1:22:03, pb) and Nicki Buckett in 780th (1:34:28, pb).

At Catterick parkrun Garry Malton was 10th (22:00) and Ian Hepworth in 36th (26:17) At Northallerton parkrun, Steve Middleton was the 1st finisher (19:47), Ken Harker was 2nd (20:32), Anthony Jefford was 3rd in a new pb (20:38, pb), Shona Fletcher in 4th (21:12) and the 1st lady, Alastair Wilkin in 9th (24:27) and Elaine Waters in 15th and the 5th lady (27:34).

Ollie Middleton took the top honours at Northallerton junior parkrun as the 1st finisher (08:50), Olivia Jackson-Bowers was 4th and the 1st girl, Kiki Fletcher in 12th (10:48) and the 3rd girl, Charlotte Jackson-Bowers in 21st and the 5th girl (11:11) and Abigail Wilkin in 22nd (11:52) and the 7th girl.
