THIS WEEK Team R&Z were out in force in a multitude of events from trail events, half marathons, 10k’s, the track and the very local James Herriot Trail race with a big turnout of our runners. The beautiful setting of Wensleydale was the venue for the 14k trail run over bogs, hills, dales and a bit of track near Castle Bolton. Mark Forrest stormed round to finish as the 2nd V50 in 8th overall, he was followed by John Gray in 25th (1:06:36), Nicola Simpson had another good run in 51st, the 3rd lady and the 2nd V40 runner (1:11:34), Rob Dashwood is returning to form and was just behind in 63rd (1:14:26) and Pete Richardson had another with a good run in 120th (1:22:17). During the week (think one of the extremely hot days) Jeremy Pattison took on the not so flat Durham 10km and was a very respectful 41st (41:09). She ran the 800m (2:54, pb), another pb in the javelin (6:56, pb) and jumped in the long jump (2:78).
