RICHMOND & ZETLAND HARRIERS

Richmond and Zetland Harriers

IT WAS A GOOD WEEK for runners with lovely, bright, crisp mornings and for a change, harder under foot if not a bit slippy at times. The runners of Richmond where out on the roads, race circuits and even a bit of fancy dress running. Ronnie Corbett was just outside the top 10 at the picturesque Ravenstonedale 10km in 12th but the top V50 (40:20), Pauline Whitaker was also in the thick of the action in 93rd (50:56) and Nicki Buckett in 180th and another good run (63:40).

Tom O’Mahoney scorched round the Croft race Circuit in a fantastic new pb and the 1st junior runner in 18th (17:09), Garry Malton with another excellent performance in 69th (20:49) and Kimberley Reeve up there with the best ladies in 80th (21:06). John Gray took on the vast mass of Santas at the St Teresa’s Hospice charity 5km Santa run and out ran them all for the mince pies and port in 1st (18:22). Rob Scott was the 1st finisher (16:43), Steve Sadler was 6th (19:17), Leon Reeve was 12th (20:01), Garry Malton was 14th (21:14) and Ellie Robertson as the 30 minute pacer (30:04) at Catterick parkrun.

Ian Christon was the first finisher (18:55), John Gray was 2nd (19:00) and Alastair Wilkin in 4th (22:31) at Northallerton parkrun. Kevin Bond was 15th at Keswick parkrun (22:21) and Jane Bond herded them all across the line as the tail walker (46:24). Carl Jones took on the Arrow Vale parkrun and crossed the line as the 1st finisher in a rapid time (16:18). Kiki Fletcher was 9th at Northallerton junior parkrun (10:29).
