Top Performances from R&Z once again

Another fantastic week of racing from Richmond and Zetland Harriers. Over at the Sun City Triathlon at the not so sunny Sunderland, which included a dip in the North Sea and a bike crash, Holly Flannery showed again that she is one of the up and coming triathletes with another win in the junior category, which also included the overall female winner and 12th overall. At the Run for All York 10k, Andy Buckley showed he's back on form with 7th overall in a quick 34:16. Michelle Nolan returned to the top place on the ladies podium in 33rd overall (36:42) and Nick Mason was 68th in 38:08 to set a new pb in the process.

At the inaugural Parkrun at Northallerton, Rob Scott cruised home ahead of the rest of the field in 17:52 to set the new course record. Harry Robson was 8th in 18:51 and followed by Rosie Adams who continues her fine form as the 2nd lady in 17th in 20:58. Laura Kirkham was the 5th lady and 34th overall in 22:41, Anna Harrison in 65th (24:52) and the ever improving, Sally Harrison in 129th in 29:40.

Over at Darlington parkrun the other half of the running Scott brothers (many people though they were the same person) was also 1st across the line in 16:01, followed by Liam Rabjohn, 2nd in 16:42 and Carl Jones still showing he is a class act in 3rd (17:21). Ken Harker was 6th (18:24), Peter Armstrong, 9th in 19:09 just outside his pb, Shona Fletcher (38th, 21:27) and Isabel Andrew in her first parkrun (102nd, 25:14).

At the Sheffield Hallam parkrun Ian Hepworth had an excellent run to come home in 155th place (1st V65, 24:50). Meanwhile at Sewerby parkrun somewhere near Bridlington, Reece Dalton was 2nd in 17:04, with Donna Riddler 12th overall and 1st lady in 20:24 and Chloe Dalton 26th overall and 6th lady, in 21:59. Shaun Purkiss continues his training for his race of the year at Darlington 10K, it has been rumoured that he has been spotted by other clubs who are also using the hills of Richmond in preparation (they may be just spying on his training regime that he has been given from his coach)!
