This week's main event took place in the rather sunnier climes of Lille, where Richmond's own Marc Scott took on the might of Europe's best in the European Team Championships, his first time in a full GB senior vest. Marc was running in the 3000m and followed the lead for the first few laps, but the pack bunched up for the final 800m. However, with 600m to go Marc was boxed on the inside lane and with 300m to go he found it difficult to get out as the Czech runner raced away and Marc was in 5th. However, he found a way out passed and then hunted down the other runners in front of them, which included the 2015 European champion and Olympic finalist. Unfortunately, he didn’t have long enough and caught all but the Czech runner and Olympic finalist over 800m to finish in a fantastic 2nd in his first full international run!
