This week, harriers were out in force at Ormesby Hall for a rather crisp and snowy cross country and at many park runs across the area.

The course only survived a lastminute inspection, due to the snow-covered and frosty course. The weather held reasonably fine until the last race of the day, which as usual, was the senior men who then got snowed on during their run. We had a great representation and performances in the U13 boys race, Thomas O’Mahoney had another great run and finished 2nd followed just behind by an excellent run from Joe Reeve in 3rd and not far away was Joshua Hammett in 5th, Dominic Wilford in a very good 13th and Thomas Greer running well in 18th with the boys taking the team win.

Alana Teasdale ran well in 5th, Holly McCowie with another good performance was in 6th and Maisy Squires had a good run in 11th which gave the team 3rd in the U13 girls race. The U15 boys race was a Richmond clean sweep, with Kyle Rabjohn in 1st, Charlie Stephenson in 2nd and Daniel Francis in 3rd. George McCowie was 10th, Callum Crisp in 12th and Joe Withers in 14th also giving the them the team victory.

Emily Francis had a good race in 4th in the U15 girls race. In the senior ladies race Jo Adams took the victory, with sister Rosie in 8th, Jacqueline Keavney in 18th, Kiska Wilson in 35th, Pauline Whittaker in 48th, Fiona Wilson in 51st, Nicki Buckett in 63rd, Diane Adkins in 69th and Jane Bond in 84th. These excellent results gave the team 3rd overall.

Rob Scott had another good run in 4th, Scott Wardman in 7th, Reece Dalton in 17th and the 1st U20, Ken Harker in 29th, Simon Withers in 93rd and Ryan Greer in 144th. The team finishing in 4th place. Thomas O’Mahoney also ran at Graves Park in Sheffield in the U13 boys race to finish a very good 4th.

Ken Harker was 4th (20:03) and Diane Adkins 59th (31:02) at a snowy Northallerton parkrun. At a rather slippy Albert park, Kevin Bond was 23rd (22:38), Nicki Buckett in 130th (29:10) and Jane Bond in 175th (31:39).
