Dominant Richmond Take Relay Titles

Richomnd and Zetland Harriers were still on cross country courses, road relays and a number of parkruns this week. Kyle Rabjohn ran at the UKA cross country challenge, which also incorporated the inter-counties held at Preswold Hall, Loughborough and had another excellent run in 37th place. Sam Kettlewell also ran the national cross country championships held at Parliament Hill in London and had another great finish in 281st in the U17 men's race.

The climax of the cross country season is the road relays, which were held at South park in Darlington. Richmond as usual took some very strong teams and the U13 boys didn’t disappoint and won their race by a comfortable margin, with Tom O’Mahoney, Josh Hammett and Joe Reeve running. The U13 girl's team were also in the places in 3rd and had Shannon Robinson, Maisy Squires and Alana Teasdale as the team. Daniel Francis lead the U15 boys with Charlie Stephenson and Kyle Rabjohn making up another winning squad.

The first of our senior ladies teams were 2nd with Jo Adams, Donna Riddler and Rosie Adams representing the club. Our next team of Chloe Dalton, Stephanie Stephenson and Laura Kirkham were well placed in 5th, the team of Pauline Whittaker, Nicki Buckett and Diane Adkins also finished in a very good 7th and our final team of Fiona Wilson, Michelle Sprent and Jane Bond finished in an excellent 10th place. The development squad lead by seasoned veteran Ken Harker, produced an outstanding result to take the relay win in the men's race and where we were also represented by some of the younger senior men of Reece Dalton, Jake Stephenson and Lewis Moore.
