RICHMOND & ZETLAND HARRIERS

Richmond and Zetland Harriers
The main races this week were at Redcar and Chester, with a number of the seniors tapering before the big local marathon at York next week.

Kiska Wilson and Pauline Whittaker took on the 13.1 miles at Redcar, which although not the most undulating of courses, it does have the tendency to produce a rather strong sea breeze just as you are about to turn for the last half of it, which does make it rather testing. Kiska set a new pb in the process in 323rd place (1:52:20, pb) and Pauline not far behind in 350th and another one with a pb (1:54:25, pb).

Chester marathon was on the plan for Kimberley Reeve over the longer distance of 26.2 miles and a much more undulating course than Redcar. She finished in a fantastic 917th in big new pb (03:38:54, pb), Robert Dashwood also ran extremely well for another pb in 1772nd place (04:13:15, pb) and Zabi Dashwood completed the Chester metric marathon in 550th (02:45:38, pb) another in personal best shape!
Kyle Rabjohn (16:49) took the top honours at Darlington parkrun again this week. At Northallerton parkrun Ian Christon was the 1st finisher (19:00), Tom O’Mahoney was 8th (21:44), Lucy Verill was 14th and the 2nd lady (22:42, pb), Olivia Jackson-Bowers was 29th and the 5th lady (25:18), Alastair Wilkin was 43rd (27:13) and Shona Fletcher in 82nd (32:44).

Rob Lickley was 22nd (20:07) and Charlotte Wilton was 29th and the 2nd lady (20:56) at Albert Park parkrun. At Catterick parkrun Paul Brittenden was 2nd (18:16), Garry Malton was 17th in a huge new pb (20:57, pb), Hollie McCowie was the 1st lady (21:58) and Pauline Whittaker was 35th (24:09).
